6th IDRIS Hackathon on May 12, 19, 20, and 21, 2026
In May 2026, the IDRIS (CNRS), a major French center for HPC and AI, will host the 6th edition of its GPU Hackathon, organized in partnership with NVIDIA.
The event will take place in a hybrid format:
- May 12, 2026: remote session
- May 19–21, 2026: on-site at IDRIS (Paris-Saclay)
The hackathon is part of a broader initiative to democratize access to advanced computing resources and accelerate innovation across scientific and industrial communities.
IDRIS plays a central role in this ecosystem as the Jean Zay supercomputer is widely used for AI and large-scale simulations.
A key event for developers, researchers, and innovators
Now in its sixth edition, the IDRIS GPU Hackathon has become a key meeting point for the HPC and AI community. It fosters:
- Knowledge transfer between academia and industry
- Adoption of GPU technologies at scale
- Collaboration on high-impact scientific and AI challenges
By bringing together expertise, infrastructure, and real-world use cases, the event serves as a hands-on training opportunity to strengthen skills in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence across Europe.
